If you’re in Buffalo, NY this week, you know that we’ve been in for one heck of a snow storm. If there’s something you need to learn about Buffalo, it’s that we’re nothing without our weather! We love the Buffalo Bills, beer, our neighbors, but if we don’t go from -50º with windchill to 50º less than a week later – it’s not Buffalo.
Since we’re cooped up inside, we figured we’d write a blog on our experience with this week’s weather. One word could describe it all – FREEZING! We’re all used to the snow (for the most part), but sub-zero temperatures are pushing it, even for those die-hard fans of winter.
Most places of business have closed yesterday and today due to frigid temperatures, blowing snow, and white-out conditions. This doesn’t stop the toughest real estate agents, though! Sometimes our clients take specific time off to see homes and even if it’s in the middle of a snow storm – we’re there to show them homes!
Own NY prides themselves on living, eating and breathing Buffalonian culture and you can’t really get any more Buffalonian than a classic snow storm. They say this storm in 2019 will be something to talk about for years to come. Be sure to comment your experiences with this storm – good and bad. We promise we’re here feeling the same with you!
Stay warm, be safe, and don’t drive unless you have a house to see!
Or just wait until Monday, when we’ll have 50º weather and flood warnings will kick in. Welcome to Buffalo, NY ya’ll. See you soon!
